From Our Past Recipient
"It was quite an honor to have been selected as the first recipient of the Marilyn T. Bryant Endowed Scholarship. I received this generous gift at a time when money was tight and as a result the motivation to finish graduate school was lacking. Not only did this scholarship provide the means to complete my degree but also the inspiration to follow my dreams – to become a business owner.
Shortly after graduation I began operation of Ideal System Solutions, Inc., a reseller and service provider of high-end computer systems. We recently opened a second office in the Minneapolis area and are currently working with the SBA to obtain government contracts.
I have Marilyn Bryant and the board members that made the scholarship recipient selection, to thank in part for my success. Their belief in me allowed me to believe in myself and gave me the courage to pursue my dreams. I truly admire Ms. Bryant's dedication in raising scholarship funds for those less fortunate and providing them with opportunities they may have never had."
